Ballet

Sweet Brookey has her activity too. She is in Ballet one day a week. Until she is 3 it is a Mommy and Me ballet class. So on Tuesday mornings me and Brookey go to ballet. She is absolutely adorable and loves it.

She also has a backpack she takes with her to Sam and Jo-Jo's school every day. She fills it with random pieces of paper.....her homework, barbies, my little ponies, and other random stuff that she may need. And if we can not find her homework she panics and goes crazy.

Soccer

Jordan is in a soccer league this Fall. We play our games in Central Park. It's really beautiful out there, and will always be a great memory.
I was volunteered as the Assistant Coach this year. I guess the fact that I've never once played a game of soccer, and the fact that I know absolutely nothing about the rules, kept me from qualifying as the Head Coach.
We have two rules for our girls. Rule #1: When we have the ball, try to kick it in the goal. Rule #2: When we don't have the ball, try to get the ball.
Christine's competitive side is starting to show. As Assistant Coach, I may have to pull her to the side and explain that it is just a game.
Jordan is meeting new friends on the team. Good times.

First Day of School

Sam is in pre-K at the same school Jordan attends. He loves it. Christine says his teacher is perfect. His friends are Noah, Jackson, Ryan and Rocco.

Summer's Over

It's been a wonderful Summer, full of exciting travel, great family and friends. David and KelliAnne had a perfect wedding. Here are a few pics of the kids all dressed up for it. Thanks to all our friends in Florida and Texas for making us feel so at home this Summer. We love all of you.

With September approaching, we are gearing up for our third Fall in the City, our favorite time of year. I promise to keep the blog this time.

Two Years Now

We moved to New York City on March 9th, 2005. The two years have gone by quickly. Sorry for not blogging in a while. I guess we just got out of the habit.
Everyone is doing well. We've had a fun winter. Christine is typing up a quick note that I will post soon, if she can ever get 5 minutes of time to herself to get it done. Brooke will not let her type.
Thought you might enjoy this though....an email she wrote describing our past Friday evening.
You will not believe what sweet Brookie did last night at about 7:30. She stuck and earring back up her nose (right nostril). We could see it and attempted to get it out with tweezers, but it was too far up and then we lost sight of it. The doctor said we had to take her to the the emergency room. So I sent Bryant because i knew it would not be pretty. He got there at 8:15 and returned home at 1:30 am. They couldnt find it with their scope up her nose (which Bryant said she went crazy) so they had to do x-rays and there it was, but very deep. So they attempted to sedate her to get it and the medicine did not take so well and she was still fighting and after multiple attempts to retrieve it they lost it again. So back to x-ray, except this time they found it in her stomach. So their tools had dislodged it and now we will wait for it to pass.

on the good side, Bryant said she was cracking up all of the nurses and doctors with her constant chatter. When she got home she was a little crazy and talking non-stop gibberish and could not fall asleep but the funny thing was the muscle relaxer they gave her made her legs not work so good. So she was hyper and talking and trying to play and kept falling, fell off the couch and when I put her in her crib she was so mad but when she would stand up she would fall and banged her head twice falling in bed and throwing a complete fit. About 2:30 am after screaming for 20 minutes she finally fell asleep. Her legs are working again this morning. But she is still talking about the whole ordeal. She told me she did not like the medicine, that they hurt her nose and she will not do it again.

Ahoy Mate!

Sam was a pirate for Halloween. We did our trick-or-treating in our building. We invited 5 families over for dinner and trick or treating. 10 adults, 13 kids under the age of 7. Crazy. Very Crazy.

Our Pumpkin

A picture from our apple and pumpkin picking trip in upstate New York last weekend.

One Minute

That's how long you have to take your eye off Brooke before she can get into mommy's makeup bag. That would be Bobbi Brown blush---about $20 worth.

Apple King

Sam made an apple crown at school last Thursday. I met Christine, Sam and Brooke in Central Park for lunch that day.

Dancing Brooke

She is the cutest thing! She had a fun time this weekend too. She can hang with the big kids!

Me Had Really Fun!

That's what Sam said when I asked if he had fun this past weekend.

Here fishy-fishy!

Jordan loves fishing too! She caught a few keepers!

Fishin'

Griffen and Sam posing with their big catch! The picture doesn't do this fish justice. It was a monster in person. And it put up a heck of a fight.

Poconos

Last weekend, our friends invited us to their family's moutain home. We had a really fun time. They had a pond in the back yard. Jordan and Sam both caught a fish!

Howdy!

It's been a while! We had a great summer. It's great to be back in New York though--the best time of year up here. School started for Jordan this past week. She has a wonderful teacher.

Sam starts school this Monday. He's glad to be home too. He missed his little buddies up here.

Brooke is doing great! She's not a baby anymore. She is one of the rowdy kids. She and Sam play well together.

Space Shuttle

We were in Florida for the Fourth of July. Vero Beach is approximately 60 miles from where the shuttle takes off. The picture doesn't really do the moment justice---really cool to see.

We also have great "audio" of the moment, as Christine video-ed it with the lens cap still on the camcorder. I could have thrown her to the sharks!

Click on the picture and you will get a better view of the shuttle.
