Texas Summer

10 Updates from Dallas:

1. Sam can swim....like a fish.
2. Brooke ain't skeered. She can swim too.
3. Jordan got her ears pierced. It was all up to me. Mom said yes. I caved under presssure.
4. Sam loves the woods. We've spent several hours walking through creeks, exploring caves, catching tadpoles and frogs. We're pretty much right behind a Target, but I try to see the woods through his eyes. As far as he's concerned, we're in the middle of the Amazon, or on a journey to the center of the universe.
5. I forgot how much I like Shiner Bock. You can't buy it in New York.
6. All 3 kids went to Vacation Bible School last week. They learned lots of new songs and a few bible verses.
7. I lost my wedding ring. I think I lost it in the backyard, but can't be sure. I bought a metal detector; but no luck finding it. Christine said they have nice ones at Costco. Something's not right about that.
8. Country music on the radio. Interesting concept.
9. Michael Phelps is a good swimmer.
10. It hot here, but at least the traffic's bad.
