We moved to New York City on March 9th, 2005. The two years have gone by quickly. Sorry for not blogging in a while. I guess we just got out of the habit.
Everyone is doing well. We've had a fun winter. Christine is typing up a quick note that I will post soon, if she can ever get 5 minutes of time to herself to get it done. Brooke will not let her type.
Thought you might enjoy this though....an email she wrote describing our past Friday evening.
You will not believe what sweet Brookie did last night at about 7:30. She stuck and earring back up her nose (right nostril). We could see it and attempted to get it out with tweezers, but it was too far up and then we lost sight of it. The doctor said we had to take her to the the emergency room. So I sent Bryant because i knew it would not be pretty. He got there at 8:15 and returned home at 1:30 am. They couldnt find it with their scope up her nose (which Bryant said she went crazy) so they had to do x-rays and there it was, but very deep. So they attempted to sedate her to get it and the medicine did not take so well and she was still fighting and after multiple attempts to retrieve it they lost it again. So back to x-ray, except this time they found it in her stomach. So their tools had dislodged it and now we will wait for it to pass.
on the good side, Bryant said she was cracking up all of the nurses and doctors with her constant chatter. When she got home she was a little crazy and talking non-stop gibberish and could not fall asleep but the funny thing was the muscle relaxer they gave her made her legs not work so good. So she was hyper and talking and trying to play and kept falling, fell off the couch and when I put her in her crib she was so mad but when she would stand up she would fall and banged her head twice falling in bed and throwing a complete fit. About 2:30 am after screaming for 20 minutes she finally fell asleep. Her legs are working again this morning. But she is still talking about the whole ordeal. She told me she did not like the medicine, that they hurt her nose and she will not do it again.
