Most of you have already laughed about this, but for those that haven’t heard: Christine has never stepped foot in NYC. Nope, never been--not once. Her first step onto Manhattan soil will be as a resident. How ‘bout them apples?
She is trusting. She is adaptable. She is laid-back. She’s going to be loved in NY. She’s a wonderful wife, an amazing mother and a good friend. Naturally, she’s sad that she’s leaving the comfort of long-time friends. And she’s disappointed that she’s been unable to spend more time with them this last month, due to the time she’s having to devote to Brooke.
I would ask that all our friends pray for her sanity, for her to have a calmness in a crazy place, for her to adapt well, for her personality to shine and her beautiful heart to be contagious.

Movin On Up
Welcome to the official Gullette family website. First order of business is a loving welcome to our newest, and debatably last, addition to the family. Little Brooke Taylor Gullette turned 1 month old last week and is doing well. Growing like a weed! And no, we are not changing her name to Brooklyn.
Many have told us that we would have been the last family they thought would be moving to New York. I sure wouldn't have believed it 6 months ago! But here we are, as good as there--only a few short days left in Big D. In 3 days our junk will be loaded onto a trailer headed for Manhattan. Then, on March 7th---well---we're movin on up, to the East side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. We finally got a piece of the pie. In discussing her cooking responsibilities in NY, Christine informed me that fish don't fry in the kitchen, beans don't burn on the grill. My response was that it took a whole lotta tryin just to get up that hill. I said, Christine, now we're up in the big leagues, getting our turn at bat, as long as we live, it's you and me baby, there ain't nothing wrong with that.
Yeah, Wheezie and I are full of mixed emotions. We are excited about the opportunity, the challenge, the fun, the romance and the change that this move to New York can bring. But we are also very sad to be moving miles away from loved family and genuine friends.
The weekend before last, our long-time friends threw a going-away party for us. We thank all of you for coming and making that night so special for us. A special thanks to our very best friends, Greg and Stephanie, for hosting the party (and for having this incredible picture made). We continually grow in appreciation for your friendship. And moments like these remind us of how wonderful you guys are. We love y'all!
We look forward to staying close with each of you. This website will allow us to keep you updated on our journey. We have a guest room that will always be available during your trip to NY! Come on!
